The zest, the bounce, the brilliance — it’s already in you. Let’s let it loose.
This weekend blends evidence-based teaching with seriously fun gamified sessions so you learn like your swimmers do: through curiosity, play, and discovery.

What makes this weekend different?

  • Not a “regular” workshop: expect gamification, quests, badges, teamwork, playful challenges, and mini rewards.

  • Immediately useful: classroom + pool labs turn ideas into actions you can use next lesson.

  • Child-first & trauma-aware: progress without pressure; confidence without tears.

  • You’ll have fun. (Yes, that’s part of the learning design.)

Who it’s for?

Swim instructors & school owners,

Aquatic programme leaders,
Early years educators
Homeschool families who want a play-powered, skill-rich approach.

How the Weekend Flows
(what you’ll do)

Friday (Nov 14): Joyful Waters evening with Nicole Fairfield

An inspiring evening where Nicole will introduce you to the Joyful Waters approach—a child-led, trauma-aware method that nurtures body awareness, breath control, and comfort in the water.

You’ll walk away with:

  • Clarity – A solid understanding of how Joyful Waters helps children feel safe and confident.

  • Practical Tools – Simple strategies you can use immediately to support your child’s growth in the pool.

  • Resources – A guided look inside the Joyful Waters manual and parent workbook, with the option to purchase your own copy for ongoing support at home.

This session sets the tone for a weekend of purposeful, play-powered learning.

Saturday & Sunday (Nov 15–16): 7x Sessions with Helen Hughes

We’ll rotate between playful classroom quests and poolside labs so you learn like your swimmers do—through curiosity and action.

  • Classroom Quests: short, gamified challenges (think: mini-missions, card pulls, team prompts) where you’ll map a problem, pick a tool, and plan a playful setup in minutes. You’ll collect idea cards, phrases, and frameworks as your “mini-wins.”

  • Poolside Labs: we take those quick wins into the water. You’ll observe, try, and tweak—seeing exactly how props, flotation, stories, and stations translate into calmer lessons and faster progress.

  • Micro-Debriefs: after each lab, 5-minute huddles to capture what worked, what to adjust, and how to adapt for different ages/needs.

  • Your Takeaway: by Sunday afternoon you’ll have a pocket toolkit—activities, station maps, transition rituals, and ready-to-use language for parents—without us giving away every surprise in advance.

Playful. Practical. Powerful. And yes—fun.
